“In the end, it all fits together: art, fashion, architecture, design - even shopping. It’s all theatre, really: a modern spectacle for a modern world.” Germano Celant

Gap and Valentino
Whatever the cynics say theres nothing like a designer/ retailer collaboration to inject a bit of spice into our samey samey high street lives. Shortly preceded by the Lanvin for H&M campaign, Valentino's collection will launch with the opening of the new store in Milan late November, how perfect. According to WWD the collboration promises "to bring together the iconic world of Valentino and Gap's fashion essentials." Well this IS exciting...

Pearl Lowe&Peacocks
The new collection designed by Pearl Lowe will be in stores 14th November. The cute mini dresses, splashes of red, bow collars and polkadots screams fun for the festivities and is spot on the 1950s/fur trends for Autumn/Winter. Safe to say there will be a few items on the Christmas list, hoping there's any left in stock... oh and Daisy's modelling the collection (beautifully), a real heart warming mother, daughter double act.

Whistles
Im currently a third year fashion student and when briefed to design a new collection range for an aspiring retailer, Whistles seemed the first port of call. Ever since Jane Shepherdson (previous brand director at TOPSHOP - interesting to note she resigned a week after Phillip Green's deal with Kate Moss) took to the helm the previously mumsie retailer has transformed to contemporary, design led brand. The new Autumn Winter 10/11 collection is flawless, from the silhouettes, styling, colour palette, it hits the nail on the head. It looks as though Shepherdson has managed to take her previous loyal TOPSHOP army and design for their new working wardrobe with effortless cool. I cant wait to get a job..
